Below is the complete box-build assembly process followed at Tengxinjie:

1. Enclosure Design Review

The box-build process begins with evaluating the product’s enclosure design. Whether plastic, metal, or waterproof-rated, the housing must meet structural, thermal, and functional requirements. Tengxinjie engineers assist in reviewing the design to ensure proper fit with the PCBA, adequate ventilation, and correct integration of connectors, displays, and user interfaces.

2. Free DFM (Design for Manufacturability) Analysis

Before any tooling or manufacturing begins, Tengxinjie provides a complimentary DFM analysis. We verify that the enclosure design is manufacturable, confirm compatibility with the PCBA layout, and suggest improvements to reduce costs, enhance reliability, and simplify final assembly.

3. Enclosure Sample Manufacturing

Once the design is validated, we partner with our long-term enclosure suppliers—among the top manufacturers in China—to produce custom enclosure samples. Options include injection-molded plastics, CNC-machined metal housings, or specialized waterproof casings for outdoor or industrial applications.

4. PCBA Prototyping (In-House)

In parallel with enclosure development, we manufacture PCBA prototypes at our in-house PCB assembly facility in Shenzhen. Prior to prototype assembly, we fabricate bare PCBs in one of our two PCB factories and procure all necessary components.

Our PCBA prototyping is performed on automatic SMT (Surface Mount Technology) and semi-automatic THT (Through-Hole Technology) assembly lines. Each prototype undergoes first-article inspection (FAI) and functional testing. If required, we also provide conformal coating, IC programming, and burn-in testing — all within our turnkey PCBA factory.

5. Sample Box-Build Assembly & System-Level Testing

The enclosure sample and PCBA prototype are assembled together to form a complete product. System-level testing is then conducted to validate:

6. Batch Production Approval

8. Batch PCBA Production

After receiving batch production confirmation, we fabricate and assemble PCBs in volume at our ISO-certified PCB and PCBA factories. Every board undergoes:

  • Automatic Optical Inspection (AOI)

    All to meet IPC Class 3, industrial, medical, or automotive-grade standards as required.

9. Batch Box-Build Assembly
